Terms & Conditions
Last updated: August 10, 2026
These terms govern your access to and use of Maahir — as a customer booking a service, a provider offering one, or anyone else interacting with the platform. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using Maahir in any capacity — as a customer, service provider, or otherwise — you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you don't agree with any part of these terms, please don't use the platform.
2. Eligibility & Accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account on Maahir.
- You're responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.
- Information you provide during registration and profile setup must be accurate and kept up to date.
- Maahir may suspend or terminate an account that provides false information or violates these terms.
3. Roles on the Platform
Maahir connects two primary roles:
- Customers — browse services, submit booking requests, and pay via cash or online payment.
- Service Providers — list services, accept or decline booking requests, and get paid for completed work, subject to platform commission.
Service providers must complete Maahir's verification/review process before their listings become visible to customers or they can accept bookings.
4. Bookings & Service Fulfillment
- A booking request is not confirmed until a provider accepts it. Providers may accept, reject, or propose a new time within the request window.
- Customers are responsible for providing an accurate service address and description of the job.
- Providers are responsible for completing the job as described and updating booking status (arrived, in progress, completed) accurately.
- Either party can raise a dispute through support if a booking wasn't completed as agreed.
5. Payments, Wallet & Commission
- Customers may pay for a booking online or in cash directly to the provider.
- Maahir charges a platform commission on every completed booking. For cash bookings, this commission is deducted from the provider's wallet balance.
- A provider's wallet balance is allowed to go moderately negative to accommodate cash-booking commission, up to a threshold — beyond that, new cash bookings are paused until the balance is topped up.
- Provider payouts are requested against the available wallet balance and reviewed before funds are released.
- All wallet activity — credits, debits, holds, and adjustments — is recorded in an auditable transaction history.
6. Cancellations & Refunds
- A booking can be cancelled before it's marked complete, subject to the cancellation window shown at booking time.
- Cancelling an already-paid online booking automatically raises a refund request for review.
- Refunds are issued to the original payment method where possible, or credited to the customer's Maahir wallet.
- Repeated cancellations by a customer or provider may affect account standing.
7. Prohibited Conduct
- Circumventing the platform to arrange payment or future bookings outside Maahir to avoid commission.
- Submitting false reviews, ratings, or booking information.
- Harassing, threatening, or discriminating against another user.
- Attempting to access another user's account or platform data without authorization.
- Listing services you're not qualified or licensed to perform where licensing is legally required.
8. Reviews & Ratings
Customers may rate and review a provider after a booking is completed. Reviews must reflect a genuine experience. Maahir reserves the right to remove reviews that violate these terms or don't correspond to a real booking.
9. Limitation of Liability
Maahir facilitates connections between customers and independent service providers — providers are not Maahir employees. While we verify providers before they can accept bookings, Maahir is not liable for the quality of work performed, property damage, or disputes arising directly between a customer and a provider, beyond the platform's refund and dispute-resolution process.
10. Suspension & Termination
Maahir may suspend or terminate an account for violating these terms, fraudulent activity, or repeated disputes that indicate a pattern of misuse. You may close your own account at any time from your dashboard, subject to settling any outstanding wallet balance or pending bookings.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms as the platform evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated revision date. Continuing to use Maahir after a change means you accept the revised terms.
