Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated: August 10, 2026
This policy explains how cancellations and refunds work for bookings made through Maahir, whether paid by cash or online.
1. Cancelling a Booking
A booking can be cancelled any time before it's accepted by the provider at no cost. Once a provider has accepted a booking, cancelling it is still possible but may be subject to the cancellation window shown on the booking itself.
2. Refund Eligibility
- An online payment is eligible for a refund if the booking is cancelled before the service is completed.
- If a provider fails to show up or doesn't complete the job as agreed, you can raise a dispute and a refund will be reviewed.
- Cash payments made directly to a provider are handled between you and the provider — Maahir mediates the dispute but doesn't hold the cash itself.
- Completed bookings confirmed by the customer are not eligible for a refund except in confirmed dispute cases.
3. How Refunds Are Processed
Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method where possible, or credited directly to your Maahir wallet so you can use it immediately on a future booking.
4. Processing Time
Refunds to your Maahir wallet are instant once approved. Refunds back to an original online payment method can take a few business days to appear, depending on your bank or payment provider.
5. Provider-Initiated Cancellations
If a provider cancels an already-accepted booking, any amount paid online is automatically refunded in full — you don't need to file a request for this case.
6. Disputes
If you and a provider disagree about whether a job was completed as agreed, either party can raise it through Contact Support. Our team reviews the booking details and timeline before deciding on a refund.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the platform evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated revision date.
